This 8" unusual fiery blushed Raku pottery vase has truly incredible colors that the photos just don't do justice. This unique vase was hand thrown on the potters wheel then altered while the clay was still wet. Real ferns were used to carbon transfer the image of these beautiful plants on the vase permaently.
This decorative Raku vase was fired to 1650 degrees then removed from the kiln while red hot to create the lively color variations. You can still see where the flame kissed the side of this piece of pottery.
As with any raku know that it is not vitrified, so it will not hold water for long periods of time.
