Beautifully soft and ornate, this wheel thrown Raku pottery bottle has a elegant black and white fern design. This striking smoke fired Raku vase has the carbon transfer of real ferns decorating the sides of this unique pot. Standing appox. 7" this Raku vase was hand thrown on the pottery wheel and then trimmed to be light. This one of a kind ceramic art vase was then buffed smooth with a fine clay known as Terra Sigillata which makes this pot silky smooth.
Smoke fired Raku pottery is an amazing process where we use smoke from organic material like the ferns that so beautifully decorates this piece.
Each piece is one of a kind, and hand crafted from a white stoneware on the potters wheel. No two pot are alike, possessing their own traits and characteristics. You will receive the piece in the photo.
