A quaich or Loving cup is a small bowl with two handles or two knobs, dating back to Scotland. This traditional Scottish drinking vessel was used in weddings and ceremonies to drink from. Quaich's are also used to offer a guest a cup of welcome and also as a farewell drink, usually a dram of whiskey.
The quaich or loving cup measures 5"W (7" including handles) and holds 7 oz. Our quaichs are hand thrown on the pottery wheel from a durable stoneware clay. Glazed in our simple and rustic Shale glaze, fit for a quaich. A beautiful glaze with white ivory and darker barnwood tones of the clay body.
All of our stoneware pottery is fully functional and food safe, as well as dishwasher and microwave safe.
Everything here in our shop has been handmade by husband and wife potters JR and Kristen Page in Burnsville North Carolina. Handmade to order, may take 3-6 weeks to complete.
Gift wrapping is available upon request for no additional charge.
