French Butter dishes enable you to store your butter at room temperature so it's always spreadable. This handmade pottery french butter bell was hand thrown on the wheel and is glazed in our turquoise glaze.
This french style butter bell measures 4 1/2"W x 3"H and holds 1 stick of butter, (the 1/4 lb. American stick).
As with all things handmade slight variations in color and shape may occur.
Fill the top with butter, fill the bottom with salt water (enough to be close to or touching the butter) and the water will create enough of a seal to keep the butter fresh at room temperature.
All of our handmade pottery is for everyday use, food safe as well as dishwasher and microwave safe.
This french butter bell as well as everything here in our shop has been handmade by husband and wife potters JR and Kristen Page. Handmade to order, may take 3-6 weeks to create.
